So we got to the airportTook our taxi after making the queue.After 45 minutes It seems we are near the hotel, the first problem, the taxi driver talks us in chinese and makes bizarre moves, we understand he cannot enter the hotel street, he is not allowed.So we have to go by walking to the hotel reception like 2 blocks, we pass infront of a total chaos train terminal, it feels unsecure, much poor people around.We arrive to the front desk, the fellow of the reception finds our reservation but wants to charge us a different fee (this is not the first time this happens with a holiday inn express). At the end we have the amounts ok.The room is normal, like a business hotel.The buffet breakfast acceptable the first day, the second you will feel that you dont want more. And guess whatafter check out impossible to find a taxi, we ask the reception if they can get us one, they cant.So we have to walk the 2 blocks again in the middle of the chaos.So try to find another hotel, the food is not too expensive in china and the internet can be found in fast food restaurants. More

We booked this hotel (and payed) by an internetagent 3 months before we would arrive. By arrival our (already payed) reservation seems to be cancelled (not by us!). The hotelmanager told us he did not get the payment from his agent (happens more often, he told) and forced us to pay again but this time more than the original facture because the early booking conditions did not count anymore! We objected because we already had payed but he wanted to throw us out of the room if we didn't pay again and he told us that " the profit of his hotel was more important than customer care". We did not enjoy our stay here. More

Check in was fine and staff were helpful and pleasant enough. Their English was a bit limited, but better than expected and much better than our Chinese. No real problems there.The room was disappointing. We were expecting a new room as the hotel was not very old.The room was a good size and probably if anything bigger than other Holiday Inn Express’s we have stayed in.But it was not well maintained and run down. The computer desk cover was ripped and dented. The window did open with a lot of manipulation, but felt like it was going to fall out.The air conditioner was extremely loud, and did not seem to cool the room. We woke up with headaches in the morning and felt very dehydrated.Worst of all it was not particularly clean. There was a strong smell as we entered and no amount of air freshener seemed to get rid of it. The bathroom was not clean and the room was musty.The lobby and restaurant areas were basic, but modern and clean.We had breakfast included and found it nice enough. It is predominantly Chinese food, but we don’t mind that. There is limited cereal, toast and a small warm selection of Western type food.The location is a nightmare as stated previously by others. The area is a construction zone and the roads are muddy in the wet and dusty in the dry, and very bumpy and uneven. We don’t mind the ‘local’ atmosphere, but when you’re always arriving back at your room dirty, it’s a bit much. The construction seems to be vast and would appear to be ongoing for some time (once these are done, the area should have improved).There are two entries to the Metro. One is fairly close (about 500 metres away), the other further away. This would be quite an easy walk if the conditions were better.Onto the hotel itself.disappointing.
